2002

The first French Automobile Network to design a fully functional demonstration vehicule 
                                       SEQUANA

a dazzling illustration of the vitality and drive of Burgundy's parts manufacturers and automobile suppliers.


2004

First French Automobile Network to join forces with an ORANGE supplier for the promotion of a high-speed multimedia communicating vehicle for on-board automobile telematics :
                                                        ORANGE SEQUANA

In the words of Thierry Chevrier, Managing Director of TRW Dijon and President of AutoBourgogne: "The SEQUANA projects help us to get our message across to major clients. The innovative, specialised skills displayed by the companies making up the AutoBourgogne network guarantee visibility and positioning in the automobile sector. AutoBourgogne's mission is to represent its members and to move forward on the strengh of their corporate values".

The automobile at the heart of mobility

In the Burgundy automobile sector, suppliers cater to the new technological and industrial requirements of their clients and anticipate the needs of tomorrow.

The Burgundy Automobile Pole: intervening at 3 operating levels

 

1. Knowledge of specialisations and know-how, exchanges of experience.

A web site with a data base consisting of detailed company records and a "search by criterion" module, e.g. by skills sector.

Relations with engineering schools and laboratories.

Relations with French automobile poles.

Club des Acteurs Régionaux de l'Industrie Automobile en France
CARIA France

Aim : to establish a network with the French automobile poles, to encourage the exchange of views and experience, and to facilitate access for companies through the promotion of high-calibre training courses and technology centres dedicated to the automobile.

Priorities : helping to define and implement strategies and joint initiatives in faveur of companies working in the automobile sector in the different regions of France.

Members : AutoBourgogne (coordinator), Perfo Est / Pôle Automobile Alsace - Franche-Comté, Automac (Massif Central), Performance 2010 (Grand Ouest), Technopôle du Madrillet / Pôle de Haute Normandie, Pôle de Basse Normandie, Rhône-Alpes.

Encounters : the last three meetings (including on-site visits) :
- Le Madrillet High-Tech Park (Rouen, Normandy) : Materials - Acoustics - Vibration.
- Sochaux (PSA plant, Franche-Comté) : Progress approaches.
- Rennes (PSA plant, Brittany) : Operation "zero alteration".

2. Promotion - prospecting in France and abroad.
Communication with the economic and professional press.
Management and development of the Sequana demonstration vehicle.

 

3. Technical sales benchmarking approach, helping to attract new technologies and processes.
