The Burgundy Automobile Pole - AutoBourgogne - was established ten years ago in order to facilitate and foster relations between parts manufacturers / suppliers in the Burgundy automobile sector. There are some 180 companies in the region having an activity directly linked to the automobile industry, and employing some 15,000 persons including 5000 in the Côte-d'Or department.
Over the years, a host of new partners and companies have added new strengh to the Pole.
In 2002, thanks to this new influx and with a view to strengthening its mission (the promotion of the automobile sector and the development of the region's companies) the Burgundy Automobile Pole was reorganised along the lines of an association, with the focus on: specialisations, technologies applied to industry, know-how and partnership for economic development.
